A NEW THRONE FOR THE KING OF THE VETIVERS
Will Ben Champion, the legendary drummer for The
Vetivers, play with any more skill or talent than
usual at the next Vetivers concert? That is the
question that the world is asking since Ben will no
longer be playing on a cold, metal folding chair that
has been his trademark for all these years. Renowned
humanitarian and Vetivers guitarist Jimmy March
recently bought Ben an actual drum stool!
Ben has yet to play on his new throne, but already
the music industry is abuzz with predictions on how
this will change the Vetivers' sound.
"I think this will finally give them the respect
they deserve," says Timmy, a small boy who wanders the
streets dressed in tattered rags. "I've often heard
chair jokes about Ben and I think it really took away
from the magic of Vetivers concerts."
The Vetivers will have their first "drumstool
practice" the day before Thanksgiving at Jimmy's
house, and extra security will be on hand for the
event. This could be the most commotion at Jimmy's
house since Sarah put a scratch in Jimmy's nice
guitar, which is not that nice anymore.
