About our night
Munich's friendliest Open Mic night takes place at Kyeso every Tuesday from 8 to 11 pm. Songwriters and performers from Munich and beyond have the chance to perform and get some feedback from the audience of other songwriters and interested listeners. To play, just show up on the night by 8 and introduce yourself. If you'd like to introduce yourself electronically before you come, you can contact me here. If you're on time you'll have time for at least 3 songs. If you come later you'll probably have less time.
I'll start each night off by playing a couple of songs myself, then each performer will have a chance to do their own thing. An acoustic guitar will be available for use, or you can bring your own if you prefer. Other instruments, unaccompanied singers, standup comedy, and poetry are encouraged as well. We love original songs, but good covers are more than welcome too. These days a group of musicians usually stick around after the Open Mic is over and gather around a table outside to play songs together until long after I've gone home.
I hosted an Open Mic Night at The Slate in Cork, Ireland from June 2010 to December 2011, and I'm glad to be continuing the tradition in Munich. I hope to see you there soon.

Where is Kyeso?
Kyeso is at Candidplatz 9, right at the U-bahn station Candidplatz (U1). When you get off the train, take the "Stadion" exit. Keep walking straight along the road for about 30 seconds, past the bus stop to the corner, and you'll see the sign for Kyeso on the left.
