With a Satellite |
Over the Atlantic Ocean
Over the Pacific too
In every inch of sky they're always passing by
Even over me and you
Zooming in to take a picture
Sending ones and zeroes back
Put them all together, learn about the weather
Or positions to attack
And late last night
They took my picture with a satellite
And I'm not certain but I think I might have closed my eyes
Some stay over Earth's equator
Some float over both the poles
Some are in a race to deepest outer space
And now some carry people's souls
Some look out for radiation
Or guide you when you drive a jeep
Some can analyze the furthest planet's skies
Some can only beep beep beep
And late last night
They took my picture with a satellite
And I'm not certain but I think I might have closed my eyes
Lately I've been orbiting the past
(Some stars fade out and some stars last)
Feel like I'm spinning 'round so fast
(Some stars are shining through the refracting telescopic glass)
So fast
Flying on into the future
Find a few uncharted stars
Feel it and absorb it, break out of this orbit
I could use a month on Mars
And late tonight
They'll take your picture with a satellite
And I'm not certain but I think you might not realize
